Cycle of the Dragon
1st Era
Dragon-00-00 (288 A.I.): The first of the fleets of Old Hermertia arrive into New Hermertia through The Corridorlands. These consist mostly of scouts and explorers. But the most earnest of settlers, including the kingdoms, forge ahead alongside the lead explorers.
Dragon-00-01 (294 A.I.): Using rough maps made from recent successful scouting missions, the fleets find there way to seas around what is designated the Imperial Isle, a commons island for all newcomers to land. The Minervans found the City of Eule, and a few weeks later, a collective town is founded by the Ertians, Demurgians, Valyrians and more, which is colloquially called 'Co-town' or Coton.
Dragon-00-02 (300 A.I.): King Kyn of the Kingdom of Valtoors is the first to forge a path, mostly by foot, to new homelands scouted out by surveyors a few mercannum earlier. The Minervans land and carve their way up the mighty Anishkabek River in the West Lands. The Valtorosi settle Fogharty and begin mapping their archeological finds. The Demurgians brave the nether long before safe lines to find their homelands, and adopt the name Khabranth.
Dragon-00-03 (306 A.I.): The Ertians found Ertia to the North East and help formalize for the first time the new governance structure of lieges and vassals. The Elenyans (now known as the people of New Isilioth) land on the islands west of the Imperial Isle and use it to map out and scout what they propose to be the Kingdom of New Isilioth, in the name of their ancient and glorious ancestors. Gimpy is recognized as the first Count, ruler of the County of Skragg. The mining-powerhouse Odenno Mine officially opens in Anishabek.
Dragon-00-04 (312 A.I.): Port Goldcrest opens for business, pushing Ertian influence eastward.
Dragon-00-05 (318 A.I.): King Cyrus dies in an attack on Goldshore, and his eldest son Tiberius is crowned King of New Isilioth. Kargesh opens for business, and becomes a key source of wood for New Hermertia. First major structures at Malhar begin to appear, including their famed windmills which fueled a rise in productivity. Isilioth quickly becomes a go-to location for many new settlers.
Dragon-00-06 (324 A.I.): King Kyn II dies in a battle with a large mob of creepers, but only after running into the fabled Golden Creeper. His succession process takes many years. Caldera is recognized as a County of Ertia, giving the Gathered an opportunity to apply for settler rights under the Council of the Crowned. Count Adam passes away, only a mercannum after founding Port Goldcrest, and Sean takes over. The first drafts of the Indoles Carta surface. The Great Northern Highway begins, stretching from Fortuda, through the indigenous 'Sani and Annad' towns, before cutting through Plures Napiskea. This results in the founding of Northern and Southern Euleaia (founded by the 34th Regent, and named after his family name). December 2013
Dragon-00-07 (330 A.I.): The 34th Regent of the Empire falls ill and passes away, giving rise to the first New Hermertian born Regent. Sir Digby Wellington leads a wave of colonists from Isilioth into the northern frontier of Perth. Fortuda Stronghold is built by the Khabranthians to protect a key river of trade that extends inland, and to protect their western frontier. Neighbouring Minerva dispatched the M.M. N. Illuminare (merchant class) to Fortuda to help open up the hinterland for trade, which gives rise to the first co-owned county in the region. January 2014
Dragon-00-08 (336 A.I.): Tiberius IV is assassinated by his son, resulting in widespread turmoil across New Isilioth. Robert the III, grandson of Tiberius, takes over after quelling the tension. The School of the Pyrencians opens in Plures Napiskea, immediately west of Forturda. Arjen II commits suicide after widespread economic shortfalls across Ertia. With no heir old enough to take control, it falls into the hands of a council. Gimpy of Kaine is recognized as the New World's first Duke, the beginning of a glorious era. Ignis is made Count of Arlond. Ignis then leads the Pyrencians to the central-south lands to found the City of Edhevrand. The ancestor of the famed hero of Marvia stumbles across the New World and settles in the southern portion of the Valyrian Ocean near Alcona/The Bog. After a long and illustrious life, King Scrios dies and following him rises King Scrios II, showcasing new stable secession institutions in Perth. The Chair and Committee system is officially replaced with the Ministerial System and the first Ministers are appointed. February 2014
Dragon-00-09 (342 A.I.): Construction of the Alconan Canal is complete, which was the most difficult to portage stretch of terrain that our predecessors took when traveling through New Hermertia for the first time, and which was the largest impediment to East/West naval trade up until the completion of the canal. The Great Voyage is undertaken, following in the predecessors travels, to formally map out the Oceans from the Corridorlands to the Imperial Ocean. Mt. Empire is formally surveyed for the first time, which kick started the decades long planning process for the Imperial City. March 2014
