“He said what?!!!” The Ealdorman was furious. Eorls Cerdor and Lydær had returned from Casadia, and had just delivered the news of Cerydon’s rejection.
“He said he would not sign any document unless you rescind all of your declarations.” Eorl Cerdor was not happy to be delivering this news.
“Fuck that. What an arrogant peasant.” The Ealdorman was fuming. “That’s an incredibly broad reaching demand, he clearly never intended on signing a treaty!”
Eorl Lydær spoke up, “Furthermore, Mark, he made quite a show of their capabilities of forging and their military presence.”
“I’m not surprised. They clearly intend to go to war. I don’t trust the contingent of Pyrencian vessels docked in Casadia either. My informants tell me a significant amount of Pyrencian ships are missing from Port K’Valsaer. Another fleet was spotted not too far from our outpost in the Khabranthian Sea. I have not requested his assistance yet. I have a feeling I know who did.“ Mark sat down at his desk in the Östur.
“Cerdor… Lydær… inform our agents that the time is right.”
