That wording is there just as a reminder for the Dukes when they veto and means nothing to the actual numbers. If 66% or more of the Dukes vote for the veto then Sam is right, it would have to go through the voting process again. When about 8 of us were online this was a point that was requested to be written in there. However, it can be removed but I think it reminds the Dukes before they attempt to veto to think "am I proposing a veto for my interests or for the interests of the community". This of course is only my opinion and if others want it removed then it can be striked out. The rest of the content was already voted on.

I do not think a bill should only be able to be vetoed once. If the Dukes veto a bill and send it back to the Council, that is a message from the Dukes saying the bill needs to be changed or scrapped. Under the proposed system, the kings could just vote the same way they did pre-veto and nothing would change. I think for the veto to have actual meaning and power, its use must either trigger a higher approval percentage in the Council to override it. Otherwise the veto does nothing but delay things for a week.

Hmm interesting. The voting parameters have already been approved so that is not really in question I am merely just putting it into wording so don't forget that when reviewing it. However, how do you think the wording should be changed? If vetoed, the parameters of the law should change before it is proposed again as legislation? Not sure how we could cover this concern.

Something maybe like, "if vetoed, the law must receive 60% + 1 (higher than the current standards) of the Council of the Crowned or an amendment to the proposed law should be conducted before it is proposed into parliament again". This provides two checks and would require one or the other to be met.

Those two checks would work. Adding that to the veto wording is good enough for me.
