Read it there, looks good to me.

Detailed enough and allowing for a significant amount of interesting permutations of differing varations. Should make for some vastly different and fine-looking ports!

This has the go ahead from me. I'll be sure to step up as my Ministry role demands of course to assess each new application as it comes.

Did we ever clarify how far you can go? Will routes be allowed to be longer than they will eventually be initially, as most of the early ports won't even be on the same "seas?"

The language intentionally left in as a case-by-case basis, stating only that the route must a) be loreified on a map and b) be suitable within lore. This makes sense, as setting some arbitrary distance/measuring distance on our seas for this purpose is somewhat silly. The current language lets the Committee for Maritime Navigation approve routes of different lengths but say no to one that, say, crosses a third of the map in one go instead of linking up several ports (as an irl connection would likely do).

Right, I just could have sworn that we were going to say that you couldn't skip major bodies of water from one entire side to the other - basically that some place like Wysteria couldn't go all the way to Pyrencia in one go.

I'd imagine as more ports open up we can then start to make the route take a less direct path and then make people go through multiple ports as a result.
I dont want to prevent any faster travel because some people wont have working ports for months/years IRL.
