Due to some weird quirk, some of my mountain biomes have a mix of rain and snow on block by block basis. During a lightning storm, that can mean fires getting started that do not have rain to immediately put them out. The effects can be quite devastating, as seen here:

As I see it, the only solution to this problem is to disable fire spread on the server. We have no real use for it anyway, so I doubt it will be missed. If there is enough support for this, I will put forth a formal bill in the House of Dukes.

I wouldnt be particularly in favour of this, it can be included as part of your lore, make it look like there's repair works, construction, rennovations, makes things a little more interesting and gives some character to the city rather than rows of perfect houses, thats my take on it. I know its a kick in the balls to see your stuff trashed like that but hey, we got stories to tell, this helps to tell one!

Scrios had a mansion in in the outskirts of Dunn that was burned for almost 2 IRL years before he repaired it, admittedly it was from a poorly placed fireplace rather than lightning but same idea.

I'm in agreement with the good House Almandine here - we by necessity modify some survival mechanics, but fire spread is pretty integral to a survival environment in the sense that by taking it away you really are losing some realism. In addition, we base ourselves on a medieval-esque environment: fire was a crucial tool at that time and it still shows in our building.

Bottom line? I think fire spread should be left unchanged. Open to other opinions if more chose to chime in though.

I am also against disabling fire spread, I think itd a fair thing. It sucks when your building burns down but that's part of the game

Aeries figured out how to roll back the fire spread damage. Instead of disabling fire spread, I think we are just going to roll back the random damage when it happens from now on.

Also I think for future posts if you are doing something just for discussion it should go in imperials court, Parliament is for actual voting on bills by the council
