The Shadow of the End reaches far.

Varahein sat in his study, eyes cold, nearly lifeless. Four of his five children dead. One, slain by smugglers and criminals who drained him of his parasite filled blood to sell in a black market ring. The other three, slain by Endermen. Endermen, the dark stalkers who teleport around at night, stealing objects, and murdering anyone who accidentally meets their void filled eyes. They hail from another dimension, known as Gethraich to Pyrencians, or "The End" in the common language. There is a Gethraich for each section of this massive world. Each home to a Absahoth, or Ender Dragon. These Dragons are believed by the Pyrencians to be the Harbingers of the apocalypse, bastard sons of the twisted Absalom, Malignant god of the Afterlife.

The Absahoth in both the ancient homeland of the Pyrencians and the Old World of the Hermertian past were slain, leaving behind strange eggs. Pyrencians believe that these eggs contain a fragment of the power of Absalom, and should it be funneled to him, it would allow him to escape from his realm and destroy all life. To this end, the Egg in the Isle of Shadows was placed in an incredibly complicated vault, and all the keys were hidden away. The dragons, or so we believe, are aware that they hold the power to free their lord, and constantly search for a way to release their power to him. That is why they must be slain. Especially now that their endermen children have grown so bold. To attack princes, princesses, dukes, possibly even kings.

Varahein recorded all this and more in a massive leather bound tome on his desk. Eventually, he signed it and stamped his royal seal on the last page, before turning to the first page, which read

"Charter of the Inquisition"

He closed the book, which has a Phoenix emblazoned on the cover, and placed it in his desk. He rose, shakily, and blew out the candle so he could leave his office. As soon as the candle went out, however, he heard a popping noise behind him, accompanied by a sense of unnatural cold.

"Well. Looks like this is it. I hope Anthrail remembers to check the desk."

Varahein turned around slowly, and found gazing into void filled purple eyes even more violet than his own.

This cannot come to pass. Even if it is almost legendary in its description, we cannot as sentient beings allow the destruction of our world.
