Work Plan:
Stage 1: Google documents
  • Creation of a Library Structure (Site Map.)
    Complete, minor adjustments possibly required
  • Writing of descriptions/introductions for all main pages and listing of content.
    In progress, Nicholas writes descriptions. Could use help to detail/review/edit.
  • Creation of templatesfor content.
    In progress. Most templates created, could use help to review/edit them.
  • Creation of a guide for adding content to the library.
    In progress, need help to detail/review/edit.

Stage 2: Wiki
  • Creation of a wiki.
    Pending. Atryl works on it. It represents a large time investment so we must be patient. Donations might help *wink wink*
  • Creation of all main pages, with descriptions/introductions and content lists, linked as planned in the Library map document.
    Pending.
  • Creation of content pages by the community, based on the templates.
    Ongoing process
  • Regular monitoring by the Ministry of Hermertian History to ensure the Library remains organized, consistent and adapted to the needs of Hermertia.

FAQ:
  1. Your system/method won't work.

  3. We lost so much information! :(

  5. How can I help? (ok that one isn't an actual FAQ, but I wish it was)
    Look at the Google docs, ask questions if you don't understand something, request editing access, help set up what isn't ready yet or review/edit what is done.

Luckily, I just found a mostly complete copy of my old wiki page. I'll be able to throw that onto the wiki almost immediately. I'll send you my e-mail address soonish.

Edit, the Second: Whoops, I misread the main post. I'm not quite sure if my wiki-fu is good enough to work on the main page.

Awesome, keep it safe until the wiki is set up! For now I'm only working on the structure, character pages will be added later when the wiki goes up.

If you wish to help with the structure, that would be great!

Yeah, I just realized I misread that part. I'm not particularly confident in my wiki-structuring abilities, unfortunately. I'll still send you my e-mail for future reference or if I suddenly decide to hone my editing skills.

I'll be there! I like doing descriptions, and have seen a fair amount of Hermertia history so I can do so from a historical lens.

Unfortunately, everyone knows I'm terrible at remembering the various iterations of characters. So that might need someone more diligent.

No worry, I think everybody will be responsible to add their own characters and lineage pages. Your help with descriptions will be very, very appreciated =)

Once the library is up (Atryl!!!!), then I'll be sure to help document many of the old historic events as well! I've been around for going on 4 years I believe? So, I've seen quite a lot. Perhaps The Regent could contribute a bit too, if he'd be open to the idea :)
