Scholars in Acholm have discovered a very old book discussing the languages of the Empire, both Old World and New World. Much will need to be corrected following this discovery:
http://i.imgur.com/EJdG8DF.pngAttobantaThe language spoken by the ancient Channorians, and the official language of Channoria. Loosely derived from Latin and Greek.
CasadianA modern language spoken by the Casadians when they arrived to Old Hermertia, a combination of older languages from the Western languages.
ChenalianA language spoken sporadically by Chenalians in Bela Akvario.

Gaeilgen (Gwel-gen)An ancient language that was derived by the Valyrians before the establishment of the Empire, which survived through the Clan of Valyria which arrived in Mercury Isle along with the fallen Imperialists. In modern times this is still a common dialect in Perth and Valtoros, or the Greater Realm of Valyria, that is used in every day speech, song making, spiritual or religious purposes, etc.
HruntyngA language derived from the ancient Þingr tongue that is spoken by the Hrynjandi of the Apocryphaen Wastes. The language contains many harsh and guttural sounds. Loosely derived from Old Norse and Icelandic.
Modern MercurianThe most common language spoken in the empire to date, all off the empire's residents speak this language fluently. Modern Mercurian is a remarkable language though because it so easily adopts words from many other languages we have encountered. The tongues of the sporadic indigenous populations have influenced New Hermertia for instance. All this This is perhaps one of the reasons it has become the official language of trade, politics and international relations (called a Lingua Franca in the proto-language).
Proto-MercurianMercurian is derived from a more ancient language spoken by the ancestors of the arrivals to Mercury Isle from the ancient Imperialist Domain, an empire that ruled throughout the Cycle of the Snake. The Isiliothian have a proto-language remarkably similar to Proto-Mercurian, which probably reflects the fact that they were a close part of, and then later neighbour and ally of the Imperialist Domain.
PyrencianPyrencian language dates back to the founding of the Isle of Shadows, when the gathered Godborn arrived. The various languages they spoke were welded together into "Ancient Pyrencian" or "Litin Verdi" Over time, this developed into two other 'dialects' though Litin Verdi is still used in Pyrencia
Common PyrencianThe most common dialect of Pyrencian is "Litin Ferdon" It is used for normal communication, i.e. writing, talking, most songs, etc. It is the most fluid of the 3 dialects, absorbing words and phrases from other languages spoken nearby, such as Mercurian, which is already meshing in the bigger Trade Cities of Pyrencia
Pyrencian Naming
The next form is "Litin Perde" which is usually only used for naming people, places, important objects, though it still possesses a grammatical structure and syntax, and some eccentrics (Notably in Kergon) refuse to speak in anything other then the Language of Names
Ancient Pyrencian"Litin Verdi" is generally reserved for rituals and ceremonies, and as such, usually only preists, scholars and the nobility understand it.
High-MittelheimianA language that has much in common with high German, with a few Saxon elements. It is mostly spoken in northern Mittelheim and is the language of the elite and gentry.
Low-MittelheimianA language closely aligned with Old Norse. It is spoken in the area around Mittelås, particularly by the rural population.
RomaniRomani is a regional dialect spoken mostly in the city of Romani by villagers of the same title. It can be mostly recognized as Mercurian English, but occasionally contains different words for the same object. This includes noise-based names such as "moo moo" (cow) to regional/lifestyle phrases such as "snow-livers" (people of the Mercurian Wastes).
OrcishThe language spoken by the orcs, based off of tribal and primative grunts, translated into more complex words, based roughly off of Mesopotamien communication (Ancient Ancient Egyptian)
Traditional OrcishA much more tribal based simpler Orcish with slight grammer variations and fewer words.
Modern OrcishThe Common Orcish languages adapted to have words for almost everything, be it old, modern, or just a description of a feeling, the orcs have it in their language.
