I do not agree with Reginald's or Scrios' opinion on this.
The Regent is no longer a position because of criminal acts against the Empire. It is no longer a needed position within the political landscape of the Empire as well. We have eliminated it from the Indoles Carta.
Someone who has committed the level of criminal acts against the Empire should not be entitled to retain the title, the position, nor the pomp and circumstance of the position. It is disrespectful to the Emperor. It is disrespectful to the other Kings. It is also disrespectful to the community.
By adopting a crown used on the Imperial Crest, it displays entitlement and arrogance. It tells the community that you think you are above the rest of the council, and in some ways equal to the Emperor himself. Additionally, you insulted the Emperor on the announcement of his ascension to that position. You also are calling yourself Regent despite the elimination of that position legally. I'm sure you will deny all of this, but this is not how the community views your recent actions.
Scrios, this is not something that is just over because you don't like debating it. The debate doesn't end just like that - that's not what a debate is. The debate exists because the overwhelming majority of the community agrees that crests should be equal among the same rank. Yes, some artistic flair and license should be allowed, however, literally adopting the imperial crown - a crown that is far larger than the other king's crowns on their crest - is not the same as roughly being the same. It's not a witch hunt when people have legitimate issues and concerns - using that phrase is just a method of censoring the concerns of others, including those already too afraid to speak up officially.
