The style is actually for the Regent according to an act passed by the Emperor in the Old World. The Emperor's crown, as originally stylized, was even more fancy. I will try and dig for it.

History has its role friends. It connects past to future. The office of the Imperial Regency was ceremonial like the Emperor's. This crest predates every other crest in the Empire, except for Hotonotochi's. The Regency was borne to protect the office of the Empire, including in thr first days on Mercury Isle, and it's a ceremonial role taken very seriously. It's the same reason the Regent can never be Emperor, ceremonially speaking. Of course, as a staunch conservative of our traditions and values, I will work with my conservative allies to retain some ceremonial traditions for tradition-sake. Lest we forget who we are and where we came from.

OK, there is a problem here. Yes, while history is important, things have changed and will continue to change. If you have a different crown for the Emperor, so be it. The problem is though, that you are not technically the Regent of the Empire. You can have your King title as "The Regent" of Minerva, because you are just a King now. There is no "Regent of the Empire", that title has been struck down.

Nope. I can't see anything about the Office of the Regent......

I agree with the Regent on this one. As expressed to many already various times, this was a traditional crown developed by the Regent, with my assistance, and it was meant to symbolize the Empire and the Office of the Regent. Just because the Regent position is technically not over the Empire as a whole anymore does not mean that he would have to change his crest or crown on top of it.

As discussed as well, there has been several variations in the past of the crowns on top. As long as they follow a similar style (i.e. one band for count, a band and decoration on top for Duke) it is fine. The Kings crown is and has been the most ceremonial and the most decorative and grande.

I will not debate the crest anymore as it is getting frustrating. This is a none issue in my opinion so let's move on to more important matters. Stop the witch hunt please.

I do not agree with Reginald's or Scrios' opinion on this.

The Regent is no longer a position because of criminal acts against the Empire. It is no longer a needed position within the political landscape of the Empire as well. We have eliminated it from the Indoles Carta.

Someone who has committed the level of criminal acts against the Empire should not be entitled to retain the title, the position, nor the pomp and circumstance of the position. It is disrespectful to the Emperor. It is disrespectful to the other Kings. It is also disrespectful to the community.

By adopting a crown used on the Imperial Crest, it displays entitlement and arrogance. It tells the community that you think you are above the rest of the council, and in some ways equal to the Emperor himself. Additionally, you insulted the Emperor on the announcement of his ascension to that position. You also are calling yourself Regent despite the elimination of that position legally. I'm sure you will deny all of this, but this is not how the community views your recent actions.

Scrios, this is not something that is just over because you don't like debating it. The debate doesn't end just like that - that's not what a debate is. The debate exists because the overwhelming majority of the community agrees that crests should be equal among the same rank. Yes, some artistic flair and license should be allowed, however, literally adopting the imperial crown - a crown that is far larger than the other king's crowns on their crest - is not the same as roughly being the same. It's not a witch hunt when people have legitimate issues and concerns - using that phrase is just a method of censoring the concerns of others, including those already too afraid to speak up officially.
