I can't recall seeing any rye over here. I believe theres a distinction between American and Canadian rye whiskey. I'll have to keep an eye out. I'm always looking for new pairings with a cigar

I love how I'm always thrown up as the strict or legalese guy - something to do with my love of writing pages of arguments for positions in the Parliament, perhaps? ;)

For sure there bud! But also your complete lack of a rough and hard wilderness canuck dialect. Which is a good thing, because my cousin's accent is nothing to be proud of.

As a Canadian traveling the world and living in Dubai, here's something I never expected. People hear me and say, "you're canadian aren't you?" I say, "how do you know?". They say, "you guys have an accent, of course I could tell." I reply, "It's the same as the states", they say, "not really."

Whaaaat? I mean, in the video I sent, and the wildernessy canucks for sure, but even me, or you Nicholas, or Gimpy, or the Valyrians. Nick (of Isilioth, what ever he goes by now) is a bit more of an obvious example in terms of a Canadian accent from our players though. That's true.

I thought I deliberately toned down my accent, but folks still detect it apparently. Go figure.

Huh, I never hear about a Canadian accent. When I travel to Britain or France, I'm immediately picked up as having an Anglo accent, but not Canadian specifically. Interesting.

On the topic of various anglo-cultures... I got accepted to a phd program in LSE. I am SERIOUSLY tempted to accept it, and it would come with the beautiful benefit of being closer to our tea-lapping, queen-loving, public-drinking-indulging, oxford street-shopping, fish'n'chips-chowing, masala-smelling pals! (teehee).

Although my mentors are telling me to ditch that path and go down the law school route for my consulting, so I dunno yet. I'll decide in a few months.

Ah, Sam, never forget, it has been written down, therefor the science is sound regardless. Excellent paper, I look forward to it's publication and the resulting studies.
