Ladies and Gentlemen of the Imperial Court, fellow space cadets and aspiring Void-Faller-intoers.

We are imminently planning to travel to the abyssal depths of the void to slay a cold and calculating foe, it is appropriate that we look the part and equip ourselves accordingly!
We dont want the fight to be too easy, so we have decided as a community to eschew steamrolling the Enderchumps with Diamond encrusted supertanks stuffed with golden apples and shitloads of your strongest potions.

What you're about to ready is a WIP and just spitballing for ideas, so please add to the discussion. Me and Gimpy once ventured to the End to check that the dragon was still there and we were fine for a while with regular unenchanted Leather Armour.

Armour
- Leather only
- dyed in your crest's colours.
- May be enchanted,

Weapons
- Diamond Swords. No enchants. (Endermen are strong as fuck) Can you hit the Dragon when it passes with your sword? If so then it'll get gangbanged immediately if we have strong swords.

- Bows - Regular only

Consumables
- Healing Potions, splash and normal.
- Regeneration Potions.

- (Not sure what else should be allowed)

Not allowed
This section is to keep the fight challenging and not too easy given the number of us that will be there ( i.e. more than 1)

- Enchanted Bows
- Strength Potions
- Any form of Golden, God, Super or Notch Apple, whatever its called.

Contested Items im not sure about:
- Pumpkin helmets (lore screenies would look weird lol)
- Snow Golems, could be feasible given lore mystics etc?

So Typical Loadout would include:

Enchanted Leather Armour: Full set, Dyed
Unenchanted Diamond Sword/Axe
Unenchanted Bow
Shotloads of Potions of healing/Regen
Banners for triumphant screenies.
Some Blocks
Ender Pearls
Food
Piston to grab Egg.

THOUGHTS PLEASE. Remember this is a boss fight that is doable by one person in Hardcore mode, we have like anywhere between 5 and 10 people in Normal mode. It should be challenging and have some lore deaths if someone is unfortunate enough to think that getting in a dragons teeth or leaping into space without packing enderpearls is a good idea.

Seems good to me,

I assume we're going to kill her in 1.8?

I know theres a respawning mechanism that's not involving going into admin or OP powers in 1.9 but yeah we will have another fight for those who miss it. It can be respawned multiple times as well.

I would say no pumpkin helmets since they would look goofy in lore screenshots. I agree with pretty much everything else you have said, but I would also add a ban for snowballs and snow golems (the crystals can be destroyed easily with snowball spam and the dragon also takes damage from snowballs for some reason).

As unlikely it is for me to be there, I do side with Roglar on this. Not having enchanted weapons is reasonable for making the fight last a bit, but don't underestimate the Endermen and wear some better armor than leather. Doesn't have to be Diamond, chain and iron look good, but you will be eaten alive in leather.

The endermen don't attacked unless provoked, so I don't think it's a big issue, we will be over a dozen people in there.

We could add a bucket of water to the list of items we can bring? That would help deal with aggravated endermen.

There will (certainly? hopefully?) be a few players' deaths, but it just makes sense with the lore, considering the build up leading to this battle.

Liserett, have you ever been to the end? It is literally impossible to walk around without provoking the endermen lol. We will need to have pumpkin helmets, atleast for the main battle. UNLESS we get to have good armour. I get it looks silly but we could make a lore reason for it. That the endermen think the pumpkins make us non threatening. But we either need to have really good armour, or pumpkin heads.

I have been to the end and defeated the dragon on my own without pumpkin or angering endermen. I had better gear than what Sam suggests, but I was on my own.

It's absolutely possible to do and a bucket of water would deal with angry endermen. Come on guys, I thought I was a pussy.

I agree with Liserett, the End is not thaaat dangerous. We will need to be more careful than we would be if we had great gear, but it certainly can be done. There will probably be casualties, but that is kind of the point.
