I was visiting Imperial City for some various reasons and happened to notice that it was quite bare. It seems as if a few people put some serious dedication into it and then just dropped off the map. It's quite sad.

I was wondering if anybody would like to participate in a weekend every month where we, members of Hermertia, finish up old projects. These projects could range from finishing cities, creating public farms, or an entire revamp of the nether lines.

By finishing up old projects everything looks much, much, much nicer and organized and would appeal even more to potential recruits. Additionally, the projects would add a renewal to community efforts that helps keep this server alive!

If anybody would like to participate just reply to this post and if enough people would like to join I'll create another post to decide the date and project we'll work on.

Cheerio!

Edit by Sam:

List of Possible Co-Builds to Finish:
- Isilioth's section of the Purple Line.
- Southern Nether Line from Imperial Isle hub to Kaine/Wysteria finished.
- Ocean Monument looting (when we find another to do).
- Mesaque, Mesa Town co-build between Samaia and Gimpy.
- Bacchus Lake, Gimpy & Everyone co-building a Lake Town.
- Brand New Co-build somewhere.
- Completing the Purple Line to Imperial City nether line and the Imperial City to Vaelorn nether line
- Updating the Black Line to meet safety standards
- Imperial Games area in the Imperial City

I love it too!

Should we have a sticky thread under the Ministry of Surveyors and Civil Engineering (since this concerns unfinished public projects?)

The top post could be a continuously updated a list of projects that need finishing, with their location and particularities (such as specific building materials needed.)

The Minister could determine dates for the monthly community effort by prioritizing the projects at his discretion.

Here's on I can think of:

Project:
Main Nether line
Location:
Section linking the imperial Island to Wysteria/Kaine
Work to be done:
Widen the line, finish and color code, ensure safety and signage are adequate
Particularities:
Currently a generic line (red), color needs to be determined

This is a great idea! I think were often at our best when the community is working together; a monthly designated project where we're all in the same area gives us incentive to come on when we know we'll be alongside others. It also creates some more communal memories.

Good idea!! We definitely need this since we get distracted easy. I'm sure there are a bunch of unfinished co-builds everywhere. Ask Sam, he generally knows about most of them since he's been a part of like ever single one XD
