We have it, tentatively, as about six years having passed since the server went down; most if not all of us have retained our characters, so you wouldn't need to create a new one if you didn't want to. Perhaps Syrah was away on an extended Skyhold mission, and just returned? aha

What happened in Minerva? I hope nothing happened to The Skyhold. Syrah wouldn't care for that one bit.

EDIT: Oh, so Regent did something evil in Minerva? Was I there for this? I remember him talking about cheating blocks in when he announced he was leaving, but was there more to it afterwards?

No, the cheating (aka blocks worldedited in) was the incident that caused Regent to leave and, in that, Minerva to be left without central leadership. Lore surrounding it is still tentative to my knowledge, but essentially along the lines of a corruption in the Minervan Government that lead to shady and illegal construction practices.

Where that would leave you, as a Count of Minervan with no active liege, is open; as Sam says, you could apply to join someone else's lands if you wished. I know many would be happy to welcome you
