A Letter from Ferris of Tremaine to King Scrios III of Perth

My Lord Scrios,

It has been nine years since my father's death and you named me as his successor. In this time I have continued to grow the City of Tremaine. At your request I have assisted our allies in Dawnstar, and I have contributed to the renewed growth in Dunn. I believe in the time I have governed as your Count I have gained your trust. I would hereby like to petition his majesty for the title of Duke and the right to the lands as described below:



The city of Tremaine can be seen in orange, with the red border showing my proposed Duchy, Carrickshire. This was my father's wish, though I have augmented his original plan, relinquishing lands further south for lands to the east and north. Tremaine has become the centre of trade in the south of Perth. I wish to spread this prosperity through more of Perth as Duke and to assist my liege in the duties thereof.

If my Lord would find it agreeable, I would like to commence with declaration of this new duchy at once and work to improve communications with the southern settlements and to continue my father's dream; a greater, richer Perth.

This is news worthy of the Imperial Court my good sir, if Scrios approves such a claim, i'd let him announce it in the Imperial Court when he gives it the go ahead.

Your father worked long and hard before his end, but your ceaseless work has given rise to something greater than he could have imagined. This is a most welcome development and certainly about time coming.
