Hello kings, queens, dukes, duchesses, and other nobles or Mercuria. i am interested in joining your server. I am looking for a new server since the previous one I frequented (Civcraft) has recently closed. What interested me about that server was the community and the deep history between the various players and towns. From what I've read about Hermertia, it appears you have both, and I'm excited to be part of it.
As for some personal information, I have played Minecraft for about 4 years. I am primarily a builder, but I have also run businesses, worked on major projects such as nether hubs and rail tunnels, and participated in government. I have built houses, parks, and even cathedrals, many of them in survival. I don't have a particular favorite biome, but a large amount of my builds are meant for temperate climates such as forests or plains. My initial goals if I were on this server would be to construct a major building (such as a cathedral) in one of the towns. I may dabble in politics later, but as a start I want to learn about the community before doing anything to big or drastic.
Some initial lore:
I glanced at my map. The next town should be close. The route was well known: around the forest, across the tundra, through the swamp, past the plains, a hop, a skip, a jump, and the town will appear on the horizon. Perhaps the ocean I was sailing on now wasn't quite on the beaten path, but I couldn't have wandered too far away. I certainly wasn't lost.
A tower jutted from the horizon. It wasn't familiar, but new buildings are made all the time. As I approached I shouted out, "Trader coming! Only the finest dark oak, wheat and potatoes money can buy!" No one answered back. I didn't remember the people being so unfriendly. The next town might be more willing to trade. I looked back, trying to retrace my steps. Sail due east, then take a left at the island with the oak tree. Or perhaps it was right. And was it an oak tree or a spruce?
I resigned myself to the fact that I'd have to venture to a shop to buy a new map. It wasn't that I was lost, perish the thought. I only needed a bit of direction. My character Kalo is a directionally challenged trader and builder on a trading mission. As is his habit, he is hopelessly lost, and chances are he won't see his home for a while. In the meantime, there is a vast new world for him to explore.
Here are some links to the things I've built.
