as a young man, Haedren joined the Slayers Guild, traveling throughout the Empire. After climbing through the ranks of the Slayer's Guild, Haedren returned to Casadia to serve as First Shield of Miradost. After a few years of exemplary service, he became Guardian of Miradost. Recognizing his potential, Arkelai mentored the young Guardian in preparation for assuming the title of Guardian of Casadia. When Arkelai's health deteriorated, Haedren was chosen unanimously to replace him. His first act as Guardian was to join the battle against the Ender Dragon, which earned him a reputation as a great warrior. He worked to develop Casadia's wilderness, leading to new settlements in Aktia and Ilothera. He also reached an agreement with the Östrons of Arnum to join the realm of Casadia.
