The Lords of Wysteria have proven to be a bunch fraught with disdain for the common peoples needs! It has become intolerable for such action, or might I say disaction, to escalate to current levels! We can bear no more! I must say it! I beg of thee, both High and Low Council, you do so grant me this land!

I wish to develop this land for my people, hoping they can live a joyous life away from tyranny. With this land they may be free to do as they want and live how they may.

UPDATED: Cyan Line surrounds the new claim:

Happy to see you settle on your own! It looks like a lovely spot to establish a realm. The initial claim does seem a bit large in my opinion (almost the size of a couple grand duchies), so I would consider trimming back the claim a bit. You can always expand out to those borders later on as you develop.

You plea has been heard, read over and now deserves a response!

I am glad to see that you are taking your people to a new Realm, they deserve autonomous leadership, strangely absent for many years from the Kingdom of Wysteria.

I will give my Royal Blessing on this venture, once of course that the claim is scaled back. Choose an area 20% of that size and we shall see where to go from there. As my fellow Nobleman Arcel of Casadia has mentioned, it is a large claim.

Thank you for your time and efforts here. We shall have this resolved soon!

I think my people and I have managed to come down a reasonable amount.

Seems like a much more appropriate size. I dont seem to have a problem with this, unless there's any objections to how bit it is still?

You can of course develop areas and make future land claims. DorEryn is just south of you I believe so if he has no objections I can vote happily on this in favour.

Please message Sodihv and let us know if he has any objections.

From the Indoles Carta:

Process for Claiming an Independent Holding

Any member of the Empire of rank Count or above may seek to establish an independent holding, of which they are the highest legal authority, in any lands currently recognized as unclaimed.

This is accomplished through the submission of a formal proposal for the creation of an independent holding to the Imperial Court; the proposal must include:

a) A map of the area including defined borders claimed in context with current regional and/or imperial maps, and

b) Statement of intent and purpose for the lands claimed.

Once a proposal has been submitted to the Imperial Court, it must be subject to and pass a vote of confidence from the Imperial Parliament. To be recognized as an independent holding, the proposal must receive a vote in confidence from either a clear majority of the Council of the Crowned (60%) or a clear majority of the Council of the Crowned (60% - 1) concurrent with a majority of the House of Dukes (>50%)

Once a proposal for the creation of an independent holding has been recognized, that realm shall immediately be recognized under Imperial law and entitled to all rights, freedoms, and duties this entails.
