Greetings from Cairnryan. As a glance starboard from the ferry bringing me in from Northern Ireland rewards me with a view of the green, foggy land that Sam calls home, I know I'm in for an adventure.

Yeah, ruaridh Oliphant, because the Scots don't understand letters. Or language. Most of the time it's just crude thrusting gestures and a lot of confusion.

That would be splendid! Sadly I'm sticking to Oban and the Hebrides (Kerrera, Mull, Iona, and Barra) for the week that I'm here - buuut I'll be in Ireland all year so you never know aha.
