Hello,

I am beginning to rework the Imperial Tome of Culture, which was like a textbook style list of entries describing different cultures or cultural things (like the Imperial Games).

I'd like to make it more collaborative by having people write their own culture's entry using a lore name (or their actual name). In your entry you should include or try to include:

Name of Culture, Origins, Population Size, Spread across the Empire, History, impact on the Empire, some customs of the culture (marriage, holidays, etc), and anything you can think of that is related to the topics listed above.

I'll provide an example below of the Karsites:

Imperial Tome of Culture Entry #1

Karsites, written by Tahur Kar

The Karsites are an ethnic group of Mercurian Humans that were born out of the interactions between people known as Xincurians and Imperial Mercurians in the old world. After the discovery of the new world, many Karsites traveled alongside other Imperial Mercurians during the Great Migration eastward. Karsites involved themselves in many of the early realms' history as small community leaders and friends to local leaders until The Dark Age caused ethnic turbulance among these small communities. Fleeing persecution, discrimination and other ethnic crime against themselves, many Karsites fled to the southern regions of the Empire to live in isolation.

During this isolation the Karsites fell close to dying out due to infighting among themselves and the separation of their people into various tribes as well. Much like their ancestors, the Xincurians, they interbred with Native Mercurians in order to survive, exchanging cultural practices and traditions. The Karsites remained bitter among one another for several years until the noble Karsite family, the Starks, assisted them back into Imperial Life in the Cycle of the Phoenix.

Your entries can be submitted as replies to the thread and I do the rest of the work.

It is great efforts like these that will make the revival of the Library a special thing. There is a rich and vast and powerful wealth of material thanks to the efforts of our brightest and most passionate scholars. Thanks. I will see if I can dig through the database (although it is harder than I previously thought). Else, you can rest assured I will contribute many replies here as I start to find some of the older archived descriptions of cultures.
