The beginnings of a bee farm.
Like most places in the Empire, Erikos relies on trade. It is planned to set up a large jungle and dark oak farms in order to grow and harvest luxury woods to sell across the Empire, providing an excellent boost to our local economy. Luxury artisan goods will also be the very heart of Erikosian trade. Therefore I sanctioned the creation of the Apiarists Guild, a purely local organisation that will run the bee keeping aspects of Erikos. The first bee farm has been created and, though only small, is expected to be a great launching point for future industry. The farm will hopefully start producing honey to be sold very soon, hopefully helping Erikos and the capital Thespikia to grow.
Honey however will not be the only artisan good exported from my lands. There are in fact plans for two other goods to be grown and exported in the lands of Erikos; red dye and cocoa. The red dye production will be simple, the lands have proven perfect for growing beetroots which when fully harvested and refined produce a pure red dye. Furthermore, the northern reaches of Erikos have the perfect clime for growing cocoa. The lands are perfect for plantations, and will make an excellent place to grow cocoa for trade.
