Perhaps the most tragic crime of the Minervan abuse of economic, labour, and political forces to 'catch up' to the great progresses of the east, was not just the calamity that ensued for the peoples of that land, nor the loss of a powerful trading partner, nor still the migration and refugee crisis that followed, but the loss of the few industries they had that were legitimate, and it's lasting impact on the world.

Minerva did one thing right, even through the greed of some of its leaders. It archived history, and it's large universities housed many great works. Upon its economic collapse, looting and disrepair overtook it's once great halls of learning. Much has been lost; not just for the nation itself. The world lost its largest archives.

Fortunately, many scholars have been hard at work rebuilding what was lost, and many great tomes of history and lore were preserved by secret orders that fled into the hills during the calamity. The spoiled landed elite of Ikwe refused to heed their warnings, and the scholars began to be persecuted, so they copied what they could knowing nothing good was coming from the economic turmoil that was unfolding.

Well, soon, the great libraries will be restocked. A link to the past will be restored. And lessons (including the painful) will not be forgotten.

...

(attempting to lorify the temporary loss of the library)

It should also be mentioned, none of this would be possible without the support of the Empire as a whole, and especially the descendants of Atryl, who are building the infrastructure possible for bringing you the libraries back to their greatest glory.

There is always a ray of hope, or goodness, even in the most dire of circumstances. I am glad that a select, brave few individuals have been working tirelessly on this endeavour.
