A message to the population of The Scarlet Territories, Settling in the desert has its challenges, the most predominate being the ever-burning heat of the sun. Because of the heat, there was a decision made to construct the town partially buried in the ground as to take advantage of the cooling effects of the earth. This proved to be dangerous and very time consuming to construct, but worry not! During a recent expedition to the far reaches of the empire, Scarlet explorers discovered a new form of ice, a much denser variety of ice that is currently known. This new ice has proven to withstand the tortures of the sweltering heat of the desert and as such does not melt. One of your neighbors made the discovery that if a chunk of this new compacted ice is placed in front of a window, it creates a strong cooling effect that sufficiently combats the heat. Because of this, underground construction is no longer necessary! This form of cooling is so effective, the compacted ice has been declared a necessity and as such is being given to the town’s folk for free; chunks of compacted ice can be claimed at the town hall for home and shop cooling use. |
