We've been busy today, Count Asamu, Count Atryl and myself have been creating a Slime Farm deep underneath the Imperial City.

Had a look to see the chunks, spotted a high volume area here.

Hey all, this post is just to get the ball rolling again on some brainstorming in the Imperial City. I think it would be a cool idea for each section of the city to have its own subsection on the forum, like we previously did, for planning purposes. I have been building in the northern docklands and have gotten familiar with the area. My excitement is growing for potential of progress in this region of the city. Duchess Samaia and I thought that screenshots of areas from high above would be beneficial to plan out areas by drawing on them. I strongly recommend this technique in the near future for other areas. Here is what we were thinking so far for the northern docklands. Again this is just brainstorming, no building has begun. Any and all suggestions and comments are welcome.

Really nice pictures! This definitely helps visualize the area much better. Just a suggestion for the future, in that second picture, it looks as though it might be nice to widen that river next to the mountain so ships could pass through easier? Not sure exactly what purpose that would serve yet, as I don't have a great grip on that area of the city, but I think a canal would look awesome there!

Might be worth it to make it look prettier, and also for small ships, at present you can just sail around the bay no problem, like another 200 meters to get to where that river leads :P

Looking forward to getting started on the main Industrial Docks with you Asamu!

I'm somewhat out of the loop (of my own cause) so I'm not sure if it's been suggested, but I think a stadium in the city would be cool. Whether it be for imperial games, gentlemanly duels, public trials (we should have a courthouse-type building) or gatherings, I think it'd be a very useful gathering space.

I like the idea of the canal, I was thinking it myself looking at the pictures.

With some slight modifications to the zoned areas, we could put the industrial area by the canal, providing easier access to factories and warehouses by barge. Also, with closer inspection, it may be possible then to adapt some of the factories with water wheels depending on location.

And I like the idea of a stadium. That would be pretty cool.

I have my doubts about the utility of a canal, even if canals look nice. Also, waterwheels would only work if water is flowing, but it wouldn't in this canal.

A stadium sounds cool.

There are waterfalls on the cliffs there, even if we don't use the canal, those could be used via aquaducts to power water wheels in the industrial zone.
