Darius Stark proclaimed that the Laghiman military would be formalized into a military organization known as the Laghiman Guard with the sole purpose of protecting the state and her allies.
The yearly Commission of Military created by the Native Mercurian Entente and the Mercurian Convention placed Dawud (David) Ghalib as General of the guard. The Commission of Military also established that each regiment shall be headed by a single captain who serves the General. Each captain is eligible to become the general of the guard once the standing one retires from power.
Forts Atrius and Barus Outpost are the operating bases of the Laghiman Guard domestically.

A formal creation of the Laghiman Naval Guard Divison was announced by Grand Duke Darius II upon his coronation:
The navy would have a sole purpose of defending Laghiman Maritime connections and interests as well as protecting against potential raiders and sea faring enemies. The navy will be referred to as the "Laghiman Naval Guard". Admiral Usan Berz was placed in charge of the Laghiman Naval Guard with similar powers to the General of the Laghiman Terrestrial Guard.
