The local Name Referendum didn't go well. Before anything productive could be done, it got interrupted by a crowd of people led by fundamentalist monks. The crowd shouted some very disturbing things at people with different views and people of non-Östron origin. One of their targets was also Lady Zariin, because she belongs in both of these categories. Several people even wanted her replaced by one of their monks.

Luckily the guards were able to disperse the crowd before it could do any real harm. However, several smaller crowds were found demonstrating throughout the village, some of which ended up fighting with other locals. The guards also dispersed these crowds, but just sending the fundamentalists home and forbidding them from meeting is not a permanent solution - it will only lead to illegal gatherings and more trouble.

Just what does the great Creeper have in store for us?

It does not sound like the Fundamentalists are the ones in need of protection, I hope the unrest that seems to be sweeping Östlaed calms down.

Lady Zariin, just know that you can call upon the faithful knights of Northubeorc to keep peace and harmony. Our situations are not too unlike.

Blasphemous! I know your intent, simple Eorl. There will be repercussions.

Is a name really worth all this fighting? Those who choose bloodshed over discourse seem too common these days.
