426th year of the emperor
Dear me lord, Sir Nicholas, Duke of Wysteria and founder of Gallen,

I hope this letter finds ye well.

I have been graced by yer generosity for a couple of years now and the lande have made me a prosperous citizen and as such I now have accumulated modest economies which I would like to invest in a way that I believe would benefit Wysteria.

In the course of my duties, the construction of the Nether road, I make regular trips to the Northern part of the desert which is located East of Gallen, slightly outside the current borders of Wysteria. My frequent voyages in this area revealed that it is rich in natural resources and would be ideal for establishing a sustainable, prosperous border town.

Bringing workers to build and live in the area would not present a challenge considering the steady flow of settlers pouring in Gallen. As for funding and planning the construction, it shall be my honour.

As a border town, it would be a fortified town. A ducal manor shall be erected for yer use, a town hall, mines, artisans, farmers and tea shops. There is a bush that grows there and produces a wonderful tea, I will have some sent to you. Anyway.

With yer blessing, me lord, I would like to build this town. Should yer answer be positive, the work shall begin as soon as the Nether road is complete.

Please find below a brief description of the project.

Chester-le-Ford
translates to: fortification / near / crossing

Description of area
Roughly one kilometer East of Gallen, the proposed site consists of a large portion of lande located at the junction of a savannah plain and a desert which is rather flat.
A small river runs through the area, thus making possible agriculture as well as livestock raising.
As seen in a painting below, a small village exists already near the site, which workers built because of the great amount od sandstone required for the Nether road.

Access
A fairly direct path around the East coast and then up North is suitable to build a road.
One or several reste stops could be built along this road, at strategic locations.

Sustainability
Water: Small river on site
Food: Grazing lands suitable for livestock. Lands near the river bank can support agriculture
Building materials: Nearby desert can supply sandstone, savannah can supply acacia wood

Economy
Main: Area rich in precious minerals, particularly lapis lazuli
Other kinds: Quality wool, fine rugs, green and blue dyes, quality paper and books, glass panes and bottles, teas of an exotic nature

Future development
Deep wells and careful planning / usage of the resources could allow Chester-le-Ford to grow to be a fairly large, sustainable town.
Other small settlements and farms could be build along the road/river.

I am sorry, the artist seems to have gotten carried away for this last one and painted the head of his horse. I had a talk with the fellow.

I fully approve! Your work on our nether line has been dedicated and commendable, and certainly deserving of a space in which to create your own town. I'm glad you've found a location to your liking; from your artists's renditions, it looks to be a lovely spot for a town. On the edge of a desert, it will also allow a great base for expeditions into those great dunes.

If you would like to hold off on work on this until after you've completed the line, then by all means; I won't hold you to that though, so feel free to intersperse your work on the line with some building if you'd like. Up to you!

A very detailed and rich run down of your future plans. Looks like you've been speaking with the local testificates in that settlement near your planned site.

I will be using your template for current and future builds, adds a layer of information and lore building that everyone who creates an area can follow.

Please continue with your excellent work miss Biakko!

- Your ally in Perth,

Yes, I plan to take this village under me protection and bring it to the next level. These workers are good men and loyal citizens, building the town will guaranty they still have work near their home once the Nether road is complete.

I am glad this proposal can be of use to you Duchess, I look forward to see it adapted to yer settlements.

Kinde regards

Greetings, allies in the East!

Upon arriving in Gallen Port at the helm of a mighty vessel chartered by the Wysterians on a diplomatic mission, I was invited to visit the much heard of new County of Chester-le-Ford as a guest of honour by Biakko.

View upon arriving:
