Erastil was walking along the path in Mytheth at night, musing. As he rounded a corner, he heard a scuffle further down the road. It was too far to make out what was going on, but Erastil could see what looked like the shapes of two people, locked in some sort of embrace. Erastil assumed it was nothing, until he saw the flash of moonlight on steel. Erastil drew his sword and charged towards the figures. The shadowed man slammed the short dagger into the other man, and then fled into the night before Erastil could get to him. The Prince of Pyrencia was going to give chase, until he realized something.

The man bleeding out on the ground, was Myron. King of Pyrencia, and Erastil's father.

"Dad!" Erastil shouted! "Who did this."

Myron tried to speak, but only succeed in coughing up blood. He raised his hand to try to grab his son's shoulder, one last time, but the last spark left his eyes before he could. His arm fell to the ground, as Erastil shouted to the night sky.

Only a minute later, a regiment of soldiers came around the corner, with Moldan, patriarch of the Absalom bloodline in the lead. As they reached Erastil, Moldan looked down at Myron's body and said, "Guards! The Prince has killed his own father! Take him away!"

Erastil, roused back to the situation by this, shouted back "No! I didn't! I wouldn't!" He tried to protest further, but at a wave of Moldan's hand, a captain in the regiment clapped his hand over Erastil's mouth, and marched him away, Erastil resisting the whole way.

==========================================
A few days later, Erastil was released from prison pending an Internal Trial, but unable to leave the Kingdom until afterwards, should he be found innocent.

The Kingdom of Pyrencia is now divided. Towns, Friends, even Families are split on whether Erastil killed his father or not, and the tension rises every day.

Rest in peace my dearest friend. Those of us in Acholm don't believe the reports that Erastil did this. Having spent time with him, we know he could never do this to his dearest father.

The Empire mourns the loss of a truly historic individual; our first elected Emperor and a noble leader of his peoples and the Empire, he shall be sorely missed.

As to the current situation in Pyrencia, rumours have been pouring into us by way of the Merchant's Guild in K'valsaer. The Wysterian Assembly would much appreciate knowing who exactly is leading Pyrencia at this critical time.

Under Pyrencian Internal Law, Erastil is still leading the nation, until such a time as he is found guilty of Regicide and Patricide

Rest in peace, good sir Myron. Laghima hopes that Pyrencia can find some type of justice within this chaos.
