Language Name: Northern Östron, Gelderlondish Realms Spoken In: Gelderlond Ethnicities/Races/Species/Sub-Species Spoken By: Östron, Isilian Parent Language: Östron, and thus Proto-Östron, which came from Mittelheimian, with some Old Dwarvish and Proto-Gaeilgen influences. Dialects: Dialect of Östron Details: Northern Östron is a dialect of Östron similar to that spoken in Acholm. It is spoken mainly by the inhabitants of Gelderlond in the north of Östlaed. Many, especially from Acholm, classify the dialect as simply an odd accent of Standard Östron. While it has been heavily influenced by the standard form of the language, it differs in both vocabulary and grammar. Due to the reign of Eorl Kalo Auratavia, many Isilian-Östrons have begun learning Northern Östron, and it has become a more accepted form of the Östron language. |
