Hellos! I made a thing =) Please help me fill in the information bellow, I think having an overview of all this will help newcomers decide who they are and will help writing consistent lore. I will update this first post with the information you'll hopefully throw at me. Go! --------------------------------------------------- Slayers’ Guild Leadership Current Guildmaster: Solvar (Casadian) Current Benefactors: Casadia, Khabranth Origin / History Founded originally by the Hrynjandi approximately 15 years before the events of the Unraveling with the stated purpose of defending settlements from monsters and bringing light to the wilderness. The Guild was largely supported by the resources and manpower of the Hrynjandi, Sothis, Casadia, and Chenal. The Unraveling led to the collapse/stagnation of nearly all of the realms serving as benefactors of the Guild. With the empire in disarray, the Guild collapsed. Nearly half a century after its demise, the Guild was given new life when construction began on a new guild hall in the Casadian Protectorate. Though progress on the guild hall was slow due to a lack of available labor and resources, it was eventually completed in 380AI. The new iteration of the Guild shares the goals of its predecessor, but focuses on spreading out its manpower instead of engaging in specific missions using larger contingents of men. Activities The Slayer's Guild provides a number of services, including:
Affiliations Current benefactors include Casadia, Khabranth, and the Gathered. Particularities The Guild is primarily (though not entirely) funded and staffed by Casadia, giving Casadia considerable influence over the Guild. Despite this influence, the Guild remains apolitical and swears loyalty to no realm. The Guild receives funding through payments for services rendered and donations from its benefactors. The Guild then uses this income to pay its members. In this regard, the Slayer's Guild is comparable to a company of mercenaries. Aedifican's Guild Leadership Current Guildmasters: Duchess Samaia Almandine & King Anthrail. The guild was founded in a joint venture by the King of Pyrencia and the Duchess of the Ilmenite Coast. Origin / History The Aedifican's Guild was founded in a previous Era; the cycle of the Dragon. Its exact dates are lost to history, but it has been going strong for over 200 years. The Guild was formed when a construction offer was sent out from the newly formed Skyhold Guild, created by Skyholder (Guildmaster) Syrah DeGaul. This spurred a mutual interest in Pyrencian and (then) Perthian leaders. The guild's tall bridge was constructed over the river, allowing ships to pass under it. It still stands today, as strong as ever. Aedifican's Guild Halls spot the Empire, with one being situated in most prominent Perthian and Pyrencian cities, and a few appearing in the new Duchy of Dawnstar as of recently. Activities The Guild offers a variety of different services.
Affiliations
Particularities There is no fixed 'main' Guildhall, although the Guildhalls in the Capital of any Kingdoms or Duchies are likely more extravagant and larger than their peers in smaller areas. This is a jointly owned and operated Guild, making it relatively unique. Vahnic Exploration Company Leadership Elected among explorers, the Stark family is currently head of the Company. (Albus Dandelo Stark). Origin / History Founded by Alexander Stark, the Company was, and still is, a method for all to discover and settle new lands. Activities
Particularities HQ is located in the G.R.H.H. temporarily. New office coming to Arahn soon(tm). Merchants' Guild Leadership Origin / History Activities Affiliations Particularities Skyhold Guild Leadership Origin / History Activities Affiliations Particularities Cartographic Society Leadership Runil indoril (Casadian) Origin / History The cartographic society was founded in Avatarati, a settlement in Eastern Casadia. With the help of the settlement's mayor, Avalon, a young and ambitious man, Runil of the Indoril family, now one of the most powerful families on the settlement, exploited his love and talent for map-making. Runil founded the society to help the empire, without any political, or religious influence. As an act of diplomacy, Avalon suggested to build the first hall of the society in Koinia, an opinion which Runil accepted without hesitation, since he respected Avalon so much. The society plans to have a complete presence in the empire and beyond, helping understand the lands we live in. One of the biggest projects unil has planned is to make a map from Koinia to his hometown, Avatarati. These places are 22 km away, which will result in a big map. The society has no ranks in the way of hierarchy. the only distinction we make is of the master cartographer, which is a honorary title for those ones who have been of great service to the guild. Activities The cartographic society offers the following services:
Affiliations The cartographic society has no political, religious or military affiliations, although any organization (being a guild, a state or a person) may ask for the society's services. Particularities
The Disciples (DAKDAKROK) Leadership The Disciples follow a strict hierarchy with the near-mythical Bird Priests resting at its summit. In practice, the Hierophant has unlimited authority over the lower echelons of the organization. Leadership Org Chart Origin / History The roots of the group calling themselves the “Disciples” can be traced back to the very beginning of human civilization. Mention of the original “Dakdakrok” has been found in ancient Hrynjandi tomes dating back to the times of the Þingr during the Cycle of the Snake. Little is known of their history during that time period other than that they were considered disruptive to the ruling regime. It is thought that during and after the events leading to the great Fleeing that the Dakdakrok ceased all of their public activities and went into hiding pending the resolution of the crisis. From this point onwards, nothing was seen or heard of the Dakdakrok. That is, until many cycles later. During the Cycle of the Dragon a band of devotees declaring themselves to be the true Dakdakrok revealed themselves to the wider world. They were quickly granted sanctuary on the Isle of Mists in Minerva where construction on a grand temple was started. With the help of the architect Vigenére, the skeleton of the building was quickly completed. Unfortunately, unrest within the Empire resulted in the Disciples slipping back into the shadows... Until now. Construction has once again been started on the skeletal structure on the Isle of Mists and will continue for the forseeable future. Activities The Disciples occasionally offer their services to outsiders, but in general they withhold assistance to anyone that isn't one of them. Non-exhaustive list of activities practiced by the Disciples:
Affiliations None as of the Cycle of the Phoenix. Particularities The group as a whole is highly seclusive and adverse to outsiders visiting the Isle of Mists without the Hierophant's or a Gradient's permission. Not all members of the Disciples are based on the Isle, in fact a large number remain in their home realms. Joining the ranks of the Disciples will be challenging until construction of the Sanctuary is complete. |

I will make a post concerning the Aedifican's Guild after new year. I know that there are other organisations such as the Vahnic Exploration Company from Albus, and the Trading Guild, I cant remember the name but Duke Nicholas is the man to ask about that! |

What about The Skyhold Guild? I wish I saved all of the information on it (entire ranking systems and lore) from the old website. Oh well. It may not be active anymore, but it would be good to put it here for history's sake. |

In practice, the Hierophant has unlimited authority over the lower echelons of the organization. Note: Probably best just to use the URL in the main post. The image is a bit too big.
