Good Day,

In efforts to continue creating guidelines for us to follow I am in the process of developing a standards manual for both overworld and nether infrastructure. My first task is to develop more criteria for nether line construction and I am sure later on more overworld infrastructure will be addressed once it is required. My goal will be to make the nether lines more organized and efficient, especially for the main lines. Stay tuned for the first draft! It will be passed as a bill once we hash out some of the details.

Delighted to hear. This will ensure the Empire is a safer place.

I say dimensions should be a point in the manual, Specially in the nether, since in some parts you can suffocate while riding a horse. We should have a standarized minimum block size for nether lines.

Yes, from the change that was made by the Cosmic creators of the universe (Mojang) a significant amount of our lines are now a suffocate hazard. Should maybe point out lines that are like that in the survey

Very interesting points indeed. I will work this in to some of my standards for sure as I think it is definitely a relevant point.

Currently I have developed the following, with the help of several people on mumble:

In order for a main line to be designated as such, the following criteria must be met:
    • It has to pass through two realms or more,
    • The line must connect to one or more other main line(s),
    • The line must be horse and person safe,
    • Single designated colour must only be present for ease of reference,
    • Lines must be logically organized and easy to follow,
    • Must contain signage that directs the traveller to Realms / closest main line,
    • Signage must be posted in a visible location, and
    • The Minister or Deputy Minister must review the line in order to ensure the criteria is met.

Should we also create criteria that a secondary line must meet? Such as:

NOTE: All lines that are not deemed a Main Line are considered "Other Lines". The following criteria must be adhered to:
    • Must not contain single colour conventions. Only Main Lines can contain a single colour convention for ease of reference.

Lets start brainstorming as I would like to get this finalized as soon as possible so we can start implementation and enforcement. My other ideas all revolve around have a standard criteria as well.

That seems fair enough to me, there isn't much else that a main line should encompass is there?

Although with the secondary line, does it have to travel between two nations? Perhaps if it could travel over a border, allowing a line which joins a main line to a detached nation could become a secondary line, or it has to be a certain length?

good point Ferris, are you meaning that there is a hierarchy of lines:

Main line (Single Colours) > Secondary line (names or multicoloured) > tributaries to individual portals ?

Secondary lines were briefly mentioned in Scrios' post so yeah, that's what I assumed he meant

Yes you guys are correct. The secondary lines would most likely be within a realms borders that stem from the main lines. These lines should have mutlicolours or another convention aside from using a single colour. That is what I am thinking anyways. This will keep reference to the lines, organization, etc., a little easier.

So far for the secondary lines I have:

NOTE: All lines that are not deemed a Main Line are considered "Secondary Lines". The following criteria must be adhered to:

    • Must not contain single colour conventions. Only Main Lines can contain a single colour convention for ease of reference.

Should there be anything else listed in there?
