Following my appointment to the post of Minister of Surveyors and Civil Engineers, My first priority will be to conduct a thorough survey of our current nether network.

The primary objective in this endeavour is to ensure that our current nether map is accurate, but also to highlight areas for change or improvement in accordance with our current standards. Where improvement is needed I will consult with the relevant realm leader to address the issues and work with them if necessary to bring the given section of the nether up to code.

If a nether line which requires improvement does not fall under the jurisdiction of an overworld realm, or is administered by an inactive realm, I as Minister will take it upon myself to perform the necessary work, consulting with nearby realms if appropriate.

Where a main line has been identified as requiring significant improvement or having multiple safety infringements and the relevant realm leaders are not willing or able to address the points raised, It may be necessary to reclassify said line as secondary or hazardous until such concerns are addressed.

In line with the above I have commenced my survey from the north eastern corner of the empire. The main issue in this section is the safety and usability of the route to Fort Pinewatch. The majority of this line is a winding path through open nether lit up by torches, with several suffocation prone tunnels along the way.

Given the remote location of the portal and the time involved with constructing a safe path along the current line, I have deemed it appropriate to construct a new nether line, originating from the Erikos section of the nether. The old route will closed off from the Ertia side and all references to the old route removed from the nether map

The new section can be seen below

If anyone has any questions regarding this process or wishes to discuss the change to the Fort Pinewatch line feel free to comment in this thread or PM me directly

Should we submit new line locations in this thread?
