Greetings your esteemed and divine highness,

The United Kingdom of Greater Minerva, and the traditional values and roles of the Office of the Regency, would like to extend a formal offer of servitude to the construction at Mt. Empire. What better way to inaugurate our first elected Emperor then by setting some further founding stones in our future cosmopolitan capital.

My question to our Highness is: what neighbourhood, project, infrastructure or more should I help with? A perimeter highway connecting the divisions? A highway through the hills to the site of the palace? The cleaning and clearing of the future palace grounds?

Perhaps docks? To make it a maritime landing spot? Who would be the best port to connect to that would make it easy for the world's economies to connect to it? Perhaps this last project is the most important right now, for it could spur great development.

The Regent, King of the United Kingdom of Greater Minerva

You can always work on the Imperial Games site.

Agreed. But is a fast travel point not equal if not greater priority? Honest question. For it would speed up all future projects.

To be honest, I feel that if we connect the Imperial Isle to the fast travel network it is more likely to draw larger crowds of people to the project, for whatever goal we decide to work on from there.

I'm at the community's disposal for any project identified. But I will prioritise our Highness's focus. I suppose my first ship in a while should be there. I'll prepare my resources once I return from my trip.

a ship would be handy. we already have an area which is temporarily known as the northern dock lands (proper name coming soon! )
where there is already some development could be the staging point for a fast travel location. (before the imperial docks are created In the future of course)
I believe it was either Asamu or Barath who built the initial housing there but the style is solid and befits a satellite town area of Mt Empire. I'll happily help next time I'm online.

One thought I did have on the construction and layout of the Imperial City was the use of interior city walls to separate distinct districts of the city. Perhaps some of us can do some scouting and lay out a few perimeter points, like a cobblestone pillar with a torch.

I'm not a huge fan of the idea of separating the city from itself with walls. I believe it's better to designate a sub-minister in the Ministry of Surveyors and Civil Engineers to allocate areas for construction based on need. This way, people can build more densely without worrying about interfering with another person's plans.
