This is yet another case that agreed upon dates in mumble should have been posted on the forums, yet no one bothered...

If Arjen wishes to throw his name in then I see no reason, legal or not, to dispute that. Makes things more interesting certainly!

At this point he may need to challenge it in the court.

In the interest of fair play and a non-contriversial election, and given that the law does not speak to this specific circumstance (rest assured that the inital implementation of laws will be a part of all future legislation), I think it only fair that the nomination period should be recorded as having begun on July 28, when Myron made this thread declaring that the nomination process was open.

This would allow all contenders a period of 4 more days, starting tomorrow, to submit their names for nomination. The voting would begin in 4 days, on August 3.

Depends on the interpretation of the law. Who is the interpreter of the law? Who is our "Supreme Court?"

I guess Myron is indisputably the Emperor now?

When the website time ticks to August 4th he will be, so around 7 hours.

The supreme Court used to be the Council of the Crowned with old wording. Haven't looked close enough, but is it still?

I don't know the specifics about some of the laws and rules, but I must admit I wish this election had several condensers and took their time with hiring campaign help and such. To make a case. Can I nominate more than one person? If so, I'd like to nominate a couple.

Kings can't nominate the other kings. The purpose of the law was to let people who wanted to run nominate themselves. No one else nominated themselves, so Ignis will become Emperor officially here shortly.
