http://geektyrant.com/news/the-warded-m ... adaptation Trying not to get too hyped about this... It could go so wrong, like turning it into some young adult bull shit movie or cast it wrong. But it could be awesome. If you've never read this series, I couldn't recommend it more. It's my absolute favorite fantasy series. Basically, demons (corelings) run the world at night. Humans hide behind warded walls to keep safe because there is no way to fight against them. Arlen looses his mother to a coreling attack while his father does nothing. This makes him want to run away and become a messenger (a nomadic warrior) and eventually learns how to fight the corelings with wards. He tattoos them on his body and becomes a living weapon. Oh, and there's a hot girl who's learning potions and shit and a kid who can sort of calm demons with his music. |
