Did I get that right? Hey folks! Small update. I've arrived in London. Although I have no wifi in my airbnb which totally effed my plans to hang out all week before classes start. That's what I get for finding the cheapest one imaginable. I'm at at wifi-equip pub. But tomorrow my mission is finding a phone plan (pay as you go, versus contract, sigh, no no yet). So even if I cannot log in until next week, I will catch up on my lost few days of posts and will stay active here starting tomorrow. As for you Brits. Prepare your orifices! I'm close! (By orifices I meant for beer to pour in it, what did you think I meant?) |

Yepp, checks out. Stupid expensive. But then again, so was Dubai. At least phone plans here in London are 1/4 the cost they were in Dubai. Just gotta keep being a cheap bastard. To make matters worse, I am in downtown London for school (classes are near covenant garden/thames/city of London etc. Damnnn. Lastly, scotch eggs and meat pies everywhere! Between that and the beer, how are Londoners not massively overweight I have no idea. |

Oh, I figured it out. The cost of a single scotch egg is the same price as an entire meal at a fast food place in the US. |

They are overweight haha. Make the most of the food while you're here ( expensive as it may be!) Sausage Rolls from Greggs, thats the food of the Gods! |

To my brit friends, or to anyone who knows..... question: I'm at a local pub in the far south side of London (cheap airbnb, and a down to earth local crowd. God downtown London is pretentious, so this is nice). Question is, what is bar tipping policy? In Canada, ya, you tip. In UAE, ya you tip in bars if you are white (ya, that's a thing). But what about here? I'm leaving 50p or pounds here and there, and they seem to have a jar for tips and gave me a thumbs up, but others tell me not to. What's the scoop? |
