Given the severity of the accusation, the trial should probably be processed ingame, officially, as any other trial would be processed even though it is entirely lore based.

As soon as possible, we will therefore need to find a time to make it happen.

Required participants:
King Varahein or delegate as Minister of Justice
Duchess Samaia as witness
Serf Liserett as defendant
King in waiting Freyr as plaintif

Additionally, it would be great for Gimpy, Ferris and any interested Hermertian to be present. This trial will be public.

Ok, I am not familiar with the process. Who tries the defendant? A jury made of whoever shows up? Kings? A conventional vote with whoever is present? How does it work?

There is a judge, which has to be a king and then a jury of counts or higher.

The judge leads the process and guides the whole thing, then the jury vote on guilty or not guilty and give a recommended sentence then the judge decides on the sentence to give.
