Power, as voracious it can be is demonstrated in subtle ways. A way of talking, of dressing, of behaving... all of this shows who is the one in charge. Those who impose even the smallest aspects of the lives surrounding them are the ones holding it. That's why noble families and houses design their own symbols, banners and crest: to be able to demonstrate power.
Although my family is no noble family, no divine right has settled upon my name, but I know a greater power will grant me a noble right, and that is the power of wealth. That is why I need to show off my power, as little it can be compared to those great families of distant lands. Even tho I'm still a small piece in this game called empire, I'm playing it.
For now I'm happy that the Indoril family finally has a crest, a symbol that represents its power, at least here in Avatarati and Casadia. But with a symbol comes an idea and that idea is to make our power grow more and more, until it will conquer everything and everyone. That's why I have chosen the pickaxe as our symbol: With great effort and hard work comes victory.
I must say Lord Accynafon was very accurate for suggesting Ostron artisans to create this crest.
