Most ethnic Östrons live in the largest city Arnum, as do much of the Casadian population. Testificates live in farming towns scattered across the central region of Östea, and the Kaprians live almost exclusively in Aegirszitadel and nearby farming communities on the Casadian Sea coast.
Kaprians are the fastest growing group, with Testificates and Östrons staying more or less the same in number, and Casadians leaving Arnum for Secarra and other Imperial Sea cities with more active trade ports.
The Casadian Mercurian dialect is the de-facto language of all of Casadia, and thefefore Östea, however the majority of Östeans (53%) speak either standard Östron, or a Casadian-influenced Östron dialect taking in Casadian phrases and vocabulary. 47% of Östeans speak Casadian Mercurian, but that number is decreasing in a wave of regionalism in Kaprian communities, and only 10% speak solely Casadian. People are more likely to put either Östron or Doggsk as their language than Casadian even if they do speak or understand it, resulting in the scewed result. 20% of the population speaks Doggsk, all but a few are ethnic Kaprian. Testificates speak a variety of Östron languages, and a percentage is hard to come up with since the census only states 'other', which could include other languages or dialects.
