Greetings!

Much work has gone into preparing for our most recent advertising push! Individuals from across the Empire have provided some truly breathtaking pictures of their realms, and Mark deserves an honour for picking up a tremendous amount of slack while I was settling into my new job and compiling this beauty of an album: http://imgur.com/a/gv4HH

As we engage in our ongoing advertising push, Mark or myself will link here to any posts we make advertising Hermertia. If you see one and we ask to you nip over and upvote it, I would very much appreciate you taking the time to do so!

Everyone else, start having a think about making your own realm showcase. It's doesn't have to be hard to do; collect some screenshots from around your realm and make up an album. If you'd like, link it here for us to upvote!

But remember the Golden Rule:

DO NOT REFERENCE THE FACT THAT HERMERTIA ACCEPTS APPLICATIONS IN ANY POST ON R/MINECRAFT

Thanks for all the help Nicholas. We will also be posting on places like Planet Minecraft and possibly other websites.

I will be making an instructional kind of post for what kinds of posts to post on /r/minecraft so that you don't get banned/your post deleted, yet you possibly get people to come here and apply!

Ok, so we are indeed quite limited to what we can post on /r/minecraft.

You basically cannot mention a server name, advertise an server address, or respond to people asking for info in the comments.

However, you can post things on both r/minecraft r/themercurianempire in the hopes people go looking through your submission history and/or where the post was crossposted.

I've now messaged the moderators of many subreddits asking for permission to post advertising posts in those subreddits. Hopefully the response is positive!

They are against that as well.

Of course, they don't know about PMs... except when they do.

I don't know for sure who told me this, it may have been Nicholas, but someone had someone PM them last time and reported that person who responded to the /r/minecraft mods. Basically, there are trolls as well.

/r/worldbuilding has said we cannot post ads, but we can post things that normally fit their rules. They won't ban you if someone asks how to join, basically. I'll make a post with our maps here in a few hours and link it in discord/here for people to comment/upvote.

Ah I see.
In the event that any one of us do get a PM asking for info, shall we take the risk and tell them, or play safe and ignore them?
