Post subject:  A Journey to the Forgotten Kingdom of Demurgia

While much of Khabranth has been laboring away on the grand fortress-city of Khalinar, a small expedition party was sent forth to the mysterious World gate in Concordia in the North-West extremes. Their objective, to further explore the fallen kingdoms of our ancestors... This is their journey

Day 1. Year of the Emperor: 581
We arrive through the gate in the magnificent, fallen city Imperial city of the old tales.. Truly it was an awe-inspiring place before its' abandonment. Our first roadblock is that we must find equipment and supplies as it seems that some other-worldly magic prevents our items and equipment from continuing through the Gate with us. We pass through the city, with a few survivors poking their faces out to look at us from boarded up houses, we make our way South to the old Demurgian city of Hejel.

Day 3. Year of the Emperor: 581

After a day and a half of journey, with the occasional rest. We arrive at the gates of the keep of Demurgian Hejel. Truly a testament to our ancestors, as this town was claimed right in the heart of the old land of Channoria as well as the Land of East Thoth. As such, it made a hot point between the Kingdom of Demurgia and the lands of Channoria and East Thoth.
For these reasons, the old King of Demurgia made it his prerogative to hold through the city through any means. This meant the fortification of the originally small farming and mining town into a bustling walled city with its' own keep. It also meant keeping a heavily fortified border with Channoria in cause any warriors of Channoria tried to invade the town of Hejel. I will included some images from the magical scholars of the expedition with this passage.

A view of the heavily fortified border with Channoria. Complete with a camp for soldiers as well as two cannon emplacements.

The Journal pages communicated through magical message end with this entry. As the expedition extends further into the Old World,
there are expected to be more.

A lesson from the history books seen here in the flesh, so to speak!

Newcomers to our fair Empire have perhaps not even the faintest inkling that this shared past is accessible, and isn't just simply a fairytale of yore.
