I'm not sure if serf is the right term for the status of serf's at the moment. As of right now I am a serf and I oversee this village, all be it that my villagers are all dead, serfs generally would be the lowest of the low, they would be the villagers right? Idk, my plans are to participate a lot more than I have been, so I want to transcend my role as serf, but as the lowest station on the server I don't think that it accurately describes the role given to the lowest members. |

Serf is the overarching term. It is a historic term from the beginning of Hermertia. It's merely a desgnator that's clear in the running of things and how we distinguish our older and more dedicated members essentially. It encompasses all terms of singular villages, towns, or settlements leaders. You might not be an actual serf like your people's are, but if we included all the inbetween ranks in our official colouring system then it wouldnt be as concise. Read our signatures after each post. I include all my official titles beyond my rank of Duke. Hand of The King. Adjudicator of Valyrian affairs. Your rank is Serf but you are presumably the mayor or leader of the town and your people. Each players characters are technically a leader of people and although we only have one playable character in game, you'll likely have people that came with you to Hermertia or have earned the trust of the liege and the lieges vassals as a result. Include in your signature your current title because you're Not just a serf of Course! Hope that answers your question! |
