Östron raiders have declared open war against the city of Gallen, Wysteria.



The Thane of Fockham, Aelred the Hung, an Östron Thane not under the control of Östlaed, will be raiding Gallen after 24 hours of this notice.

People can adopt a new name ( the Östron side must adopt a new name), but people can chose to use their normal name - a death will result in the death of your character in the lore in that case.

Normal war rules apply.

Rules of Engagement:

* No enchantments of any kind - you can name your items however!
* Iron armor and weapons only
* No potions
* NO TNT
* Shields are fine
* Bows are fine, no lingering potion arrows
* No wolves
* Water buckets, fishing rods are fine
* No flint/steel, fire charges, lava, or anything that creates fire
* Teams will be even. You can choose your side in this thread, but if it is uneven, I will move latecomers to one side to the other. I reserve all rights to make sure the teams are balanced, numbers and skill wise.

Prize pool

A prize pool will be put together in Gallen and be given to side that wins this war. It is up to the war leader to split the prize. Any items dropped in battle will be added to the pool.

Statement given by Labourer's Minister Timothy Greenwoods, Wysterian Assembly

Officials at the Wysterian Assembly have been keeping a watch on growing rumours that gangs of bandits and brigands - the lowest form of life and an unequivocal threat to the stability of civilized realms - have been organizing and intend to stage a raid somewhere in Wysteria. With the announcement that a group of as yet undetermined size plans to disembark at Gallen - how kind of them to give us advance warning - plans have been put in action to ensure that this threat shall be repelled.

Duke Nicholas II has placed command of the Defence of Gallen under the authority of Captain of the Guards Mark Mathson, a veteran of the Desert Raids and a man with the experience necessary to repel this incursion. Forces representing other realms and territories are welcome to assist in this operation under the command of Mathson; their assistance is greatly valued and shall be well remembered in future diplomatic endeavors.

Residents of Gallen are advised not to panic. All Gallen and Wyserian officials and officers shall remain at their posts, and Duke Nicholas himself has sent word that he shall be remaining in his office to complete his regular work, bandits and brigands be damned. Stand tall and stand proud, resolute in the knowledge that our great city which we have worked so hard to build shall weather this storm. Stand ready to defend your homes, your businesses, your livelihoods and your part of the great experiment that is Gallen and Wysteria!
