An enormous thank you to everyone who had the ability to attend this historical occaisson last night. Our people cannot thank you all enough for the support, kindness, and time of everyone involved, and to the Council Members who took the time to travel and to make this all happen.

Onwards to Victory!

A formal letter from the Office of Imperial Affairs, the United Kingdom of Greater Minerva

It is with esteemed pleasure that our leader, the Regent, and a large entourage of our diplomatic core, participated in such a special and momentous occasion. The Regent has spent several months in Dawnstar, getting to know the people. They are a shy people of outsiders, for certain. Their people seem to carry a long history of challenge. But they are resilient, crafty, intelligent, genuine and caring to one another. Those few months spent in their lands led to a new connection. Families slowly welcomed the Regent in, and some of our diplomatic core passed the time by exchanging sport games with the children in some of the villages.

Minerva has a special relationship with Dawnstar. For one, the Regent, who was born and raised in the Old World, spent many months in the fringes and the northern wastes, where the ancestors to the villages founded by Digby still thrive. Digby was harboured in the old world, and was a quiet but keen observer. By the time the great fleets set sail for the New World, his engagement grew. He became a pivotal person in Hermertia's great history. He traveled as the champion, friend, and ally of the King of Perth, a nation steeped in Old World history. Together, they forged a powerful land. Digby, in showing his intelligence, ability, and true and heart-felt love, began influencing the hearts and minds of the entire Empire.

With his passing came a crossroads. The Almandine House was formed. The successors of Digby worked closely with a, derogatorily named perhaps, half-breed. Man and Elf were forging a special bond in this fledgling nation. Suspicious of the Valyrian newcomers and elite that were appearing around their land, the snow elves in the region were a nomadic people that kept moving away from newcomers. The snow elves have a long and bitter history with mankind, and so this new proliferation of people and activity worried them. But through the guidance of this holy and divine house, a new nation and identity was borne. A Valyrian mix of Digby's successors and a timid but powerful people. From this we witnessed the rise of a powerful nation, powerful economy, and powerful diplomatic force. What better example for a representation of subjective divinity, the duty of the Crowned, of Ancient Rite, than this holy house? The merging of cultures, identities, experience, and expression; the friend of every corner of the empire; the architect of impressive projects both domestic and imperial; an adventurer; a scholar. This is of course the purpose of our Empire. Samyrrah Almandine, the Divine.
