I've had enough of this new lightning mechanic. It's time for it to go. I saw this one happen, wasn't put out by rain at all and only got worse while it was still raining.

No, mojang should know how to make a game without such horrendous gameplay elements.

Those of us in non-dry and non-snowy biomes shouldn't be forced to repair shit all the time - including trees - just because they introduced a new clusterfuck lightning mechanic in 1.9. We shouldn't also be forced to use an even smaller amount of blocks for roofs.

I have to agree with Mark here. Lightning constantly setting things on fire is just tedious and annoying. I think there's a fine line between "realism" and fun and this definitely crosses it.

Just wait until people's boats start setting on fire. Are we supposed to make boats out of stone as well?

Lol as per usual a ruthless response to a little jibe, I agree that this kind of thing sucks, but maybe start putting out some ideas for a fix Mark instead of just complaining and being salty

I don't think it's productive to start a fight over this. I understand how annoying this must be for you Mark, and how that annoyance may upset you Gimpy, but getting angry at each other won't resolve the problem and will just derail the discussion.

I too am concerned about how this might affect buildings in my cities and would like to know if anyone knows of a way to prevent this.

Don't worry, we've been talking about it on Mumble for a few days now. Aeries is testing out a plugin as we speak.
