Nicholas is over 140 years old and he refuses to kill his character. The oldest character before Nicholas was Otilion at about 122 years old. At the time of Otilion, the community was in agreement that 110+ years old was insanely old and shouldn't be possible for humans. Nicholas insists that he is allowed to live past 140 because... im not sure why. The Aethen Snow Elves are the longest living race in Hermertia with their peak at about 150. Though even my main elves that I use as characters have never lived past 100. Nicholas is claiming that a human without any explanation, grew to the age of 140, and is still going to live longer. We have at least two people that agree there should be a retcon that Nicholas will actually die at a much younger age. Nicholas said he is going off of some non existent community consensus, please leave your opinion to show him what the consensus really is. Also we will use this discussion to set concrete age limits for future reference and to prevent this from happening again. Our current recommendation is: Humans 115 Dwarfs 130 Snow Elves 150 Orcs 70 Pyrencian 50 Absolute tops. Those should by no means be the average. |

The only reason Otilion (my former character) lived as long as he did was because of the sheer amount of magic that he and his brethren dabble in (also known outside of Hermertia as my laziness). I however agree that my current character will be retroactively killed earlier than the 125 age. Basically, there has to be some reason to explain longevity. My characters are wizards, magic is what they do, a few more years isn't unreasonable but it's only a few not an extra 30. |

I agree with the age limits posted. No human needs to live as long as he has. I think its pure laziness and unwillingness to make a new character. We all have to do it and since he has no reasonable explanation he needs to die. Also this is diplomatic court. We need to keep professional unless the rules changed. |
