Ladies, Gentlemen of the Imperial Court.

I present to you on behalf of the Vahnic Exploration Company, a mission into the End, in the years following the defeat of the vile Dragon and the receding Enderman threat, a once unfathomable, suicidal and impossible mission has become very much feasible within reasonable risk parameters.

A team of highly experienced pioneers set off into the end, backpacks stocked with rations, ender pearls and stuffed full of mapping equipment.

A journey was undertaken, with the group splitting up but then reuniting to cover more ground.

Eventually, a non natural formation appear in the gloomy non-space of the End. A large building rose up from the ground, defying all known laws of gravity and structural integrity. Either the building materials were much, much stronger than anything we have previously found or there are elements at work here which we do not comprehend.
Our records include the rudimentary coordinate system based on how far we've come from the point of origin within the End.

Inside one of the Buildings:

What appeared to be some kind of craft was floating seemingly 'at anchor' in the air above the structure, bobbing faintly on aetheric buoyancy methods. It was a challenge to climb the entire structure to gain access to the anchor point, with multiple hostile creatures firing projectiles which tracked our movements. Sorcerous? Possibly. Dangerous? Definitely.
While the initial hits were a surprise, our group managed to avoid taking casualties and even learned that upon impact, the projectiles caused a temporary levitation effect. Equipping our buckler shields, each blast was either swatted away or used to gain access to the higher sections of the structure.

Verticality themes are everywhere, within these structures. Very little in the way of horizontal or ground based buildings or rooms.

Coming across a welcome sight, a familar glow filled one of the higher rooms: An Enderchest.

The floating ship had a few more of the hostile creatures stuck like limpets on the side of it's hull, which were taken care of. Carefully aimed ender pearls were sighted using a modified crossbow launcher and were used to gain access to the ship.

It was akin to nothing that we had ever seen before, seemingly made from the same dark purple blocks as the rest of the structures. Samples have been recovered for testing back at Imperial facilities.
Within heavy wooden chests were a number of highly valuable items, a blue glow suffusing the room from their combined effulgence.
It seems that the Endermen had hoarded such items after stealing them from our world, such is our hypothesis at this time anyway.
Some items were found to have certain upgrades and powerful spells on them that we had never seen before. An enchanting expert will have to inspect these specimens closely.

The prow of the ship was found to have a most unexpected figurehead carved into the front.

Upon closer inspection, the head was moving slightly, a faint growling noise emitting from it's throat. It seemed to have some articulation points which allowed it to move. A fascinating mechanical replica of the Dragon's head. An awful reminder of the tyranny and power of a vanquished foe.

This didn't stop us from having some fun with it of course, making light of the situation. Rawr!

Another peculiarity: A wooden boat was present on the ship, most likely stolen to examine by the Endermen in time past. What was utterly baffling however, was that the boat appeared to float, similar to the Ender ship we stood on at that moment. Deciding to use it to safely descend to the ground, we piled in and pushed off the side. The boat gracefully, and utterly against all conventional logic, floated to the ground at a stately pace, coming to rest on the Endstone island below. The Endermen had done something to the boat or, possibly, it was the very physics of this dimension that allowed for such an event to occur.

There are likely further mysteries to the end, and I believe that we are only scratching the surface.

This has been a mission undertaken by a small international team for the Vahnic Exploration Company.
