To the members of the Council of the Crowned, I Liam Raymond, currently Count of Rock Ridge under Prince Septimus Cercil of the Duchy of Wychwood, do petition the Council to accept my claims of independence.

Though life in Wychwood has been good, I have long dreamt of more. Trade has always been a passion of mine and I feel that I cannot fully show my capabilities whilst under a liege, even an extremely capable liege as Septimus. It is therefore my hope that the international community will grant me independence of a land to the North East that I have named Erikos. It is my ultimate goal to create a trading hub where man, dwarf, and elf, can live in peace and prosper together.

It could be said that this first claim is a bit large, but I believe it is fully justified due to one aspect; its width. The width of the claim is very thin, though it may look larger it is actually on the smaller side, and such I believe the height of it makes up for the width.

A capable and worthy candidate for becoming independent. as long as Siden Side and Arjen are alright with it you have my vote ! The outer unexplored territories are a dangerous place, good fortune to you !

A worthy claim and one that Wychwood supports 100%. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Liam Raymonds claim be approved. His work in Wychwood and the manner in which he has conducted himself thus far make him more than capable at bringing prosperity to a currently barren part of the empire.

Should you be successful, I extend Wychwood's full assistance in getting you setup, be it nether line construction or your initial settlement within Erikos

Laghima supports this entirely. I've started a ducal bill for you here:

I support your claim for independence, however, I believe the size of this initial claim is too large. I've made a comparison of the most recent claim sizes for new realms (to scale) to illustrate my point:

Keep in mind! You can always claim new land as you grow. However, it is custom to only claim roughly one county area at a time, and this is nearly enough for a duchy considering the diversity of biomes in the claim.

Seeing the comparison of sizes, I will gladly cut down the size. Here is the new and revised size of the claim:

I support this claim size. Keep in mind, you can always claim more land once you've established a village here! With how fast Ft. Bridge expanded, I'm sure we'll be seeing a new claim from Erikos within the month :)

I definitely approve of the revised sized claim.

So that's two king votes and the Dukes - only two kings left!
