Johanssen becoming a Count of Wysteria has a been a great occasion, although the occasion was unfortunately tainted by the brutal murder of Nicholas II, because of that event Johanssen has decided that it would be best for him to seek independence and go off to claim his own lands to build his dream! So with that, here are the proposed land claims, both a shot up close as well as from the view of the full map to give context.

Johanssen hopes to use this land to build multiple towns and villages through out the desert to support his ambition to be the empire's largest glass exporter, for that a port will be built on the west side as well as eventually one on the east. Giving a access to the entirety of the empire for his business'.

We somehow failed to include this language in the re-ratified Indoles Carta, but here it is for reference:

Code:
Independent Holding
2.3 To become an Independent Holding the individual must put forth a formal proposal to the Council of the Crowned that signifies their intent to become an Independent Holding. To be recognized as an Independent Holding, the individual must be at least a Count and receive 60% or more votes from the Council of the Crowned.

2.4 If approved to become an Independent Holding, the individual can keep their title and personal belongings but forfeits their rights of their previous land to their previous liege lord.

2.5 To achieve a higher rank under the Council of the Crowned the individual must obtain 60% or more votes from the Council of the Crowned.

Östlaed of course supports this, despite not having an official say in the establishment of this new nation. Do you have any ideas for a name? What kind of people would live here? Where did they come from?

An update!

The name of the new area has been decided, Maemus Daencs (the origin is currently unknown, read on). The area is a great glass exporter, with its vast amount of natural materials for production and centralized location it is sure to thrive. Its culture is vary diverse as the majority of its inhabitants are foreign citizens who have come from all around seeking work at one of Maemus' many glass factories. As such, the name of the town is rooted in one of those many cultures brought with the workers; rest assured the origin of the name will be researched by the area's historians.

Although I have no formal vote for or against this proposed new realm, I will still register my support for a new neighbour in the north.
I had hoped to expand Wychwood towards the eastern part of the desert in question in the future (Just the one peninsula really). Perhaps we can arrange something diplomatically when the time becomes appropriate.

Should you gain council approval I will ofcourse help in anyway I can, be it nether line construction or initial setup in your new home.

Although Minerva's vote is ineffectual for a few more remaining Mercannum, it is nonetheless worthy of sharing with this great community that it recognizes these efforts with great enthusiasm and support!

The closest edge to Wychwood from Johanssen's Claim is over 12,000m from the fast travel point in Wychwood. I don't see where this claim at this time even comes close to a concern from Wychwood. That's enough room for each nation to be medium sized Kingdoms comparable with Pyrencia's size, assuming they don't only expand towards each other in the future.
