Thank you all for you support and kind words. Expect only great things from Wychwood in the near future.

Regent, I would be honoured to host officials from Minerva in our new county. I trust that close collaboration during such a crucial stage in Wychwoods development would only strengthen international relations

Could someone with the appropriate permissions create a Thread for Wychwood in the Realms Subforum? Cheers in advance

The Valtorian kingdom supports this. I hope your new location brings new prosperity to your people.

Shouldn't it be grand county?

twas my understanding that once an independent county rises Above single county status then it becomes a grand county?

Sam is correct, at least historically. A Grand Duke/Count is not a constitutional title of course, for Duke or Count of one versus three holdings are all the same in rank. But to differentiate those solo land holders, by tradition once they are a Duke or count who controls several duchies and counties, they are colloquially and traditionally called Grand.

Hmm it was explained differently to me awhile back. Someone told me you were a grand county because you weren't under a liege Lord. The way regent describes it makes far more sense to me.

Count Septimus has earned independence and is carving out a new chapter for him and his people. Laghima sends it's best wishes to the new lord of Wychwood.
